Welcome to The Glebe

We offer excellent self-catering accomodation in a wing of our 18th century house (Glebe House) and in a separate cottage (Glebe Cottage). The Glebe is wonderfully situated on the edge of Bamburgh but still within easy walking distance of the beach, village and, of course, the famous castle.

The Accommodation

Glebe House is part of the original house and dates back to a time when Napoleon ruled France! It has four bedrooms and can sleep eight comfortably. It has its own entrance - so you can come and go as you please.

Glebe Cottage is in the grounds and has two bedrooms, sleeping four people. A nice 'home-from-home' fully fitted with all you will need on holiday.

Each property has the following:

  • fully fitted kitchen
  • bathroom with shower and bath
  • access to the garden seating area

Bamburgh

This ancient village is dominated by the rocky outcrop on top of which sits Bamburgh Castle - open to the public and a 'must see'.

Heritage Coast

This coastline is a national treasure - stretching from Dunstanburgh Castle in the south to the walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed in the north, there's so much to see and do. Not to mention the Cheviot Hills and Northumberland National Park a little further inland.
